New York Towers; Sustainability In Manhattan: The New York Tower Project by Daniel Libeskind

The New York Tower also known as One Madison Avenue Tower is a proposal for a residential tower at One Madison Avenue, overlooking Madison Square Park in Manhattan. It's designed by worldwide famous architect Daniel Libeskind. With sustainability as one of the key goals, this tower would sure attract a lot of attention. The skyscraper structure should be 274m (900ft) tall with 54 floors. The New York Tower would rise over the Park Avenue side of the 14-story old building making a beautiful contrast between old and new architecture. The best part of it are spiraling gardens which are great addition to that "broken" facade. If this one ever gets built it will definitely be one of the famous buildings.

"The design features a series of spiraling gardens extending the green of Madison Square along the facade of the tower. The tower is set back from its neighbors — maintaining views and maximizing light and air.

The New York Tower will become a major addition to the skyline of Manhattan, standing amongst the historic Met Life Tower and the Empire State Building.The building is in its early stages and will reach a more definitive deadline when the proposal enters the public review process.
