Here's something we don't see every day. Graham Residence designed by E. Cobb Architects definitely deserved to be placed in the category of modern unusual houses.
This impressive piece of modern architecture is built on the coast of Mercer Island in Washington, USA. While most of the architects tend to design their homes horizontally, Graham Residence went up.
First two floors are typical residential floors while third floor is used as connection space and large terrace. Fourth floor is pulled out, away from the house and with only two thin steel columns connected to the ground. Dangerous and challenging design up in the air brings drama into the usually calm and peaceful type of architecture.
Interiors are designed in the same dramatic note. Bare grey concrete and glass floor are just part of the atmosphere inside of this modern unusual house.
